MAN BURNT ALIVE FOR STEALING PLAZMA TV

According to witnesses, the incident happened at a location called Funmilayo junction, when the man, said to be a notorious robber in the area, was arrested while making away with the stolen item. It was gathered that One Mopol had gone to a house located at Sura Odumakin Street in the area at about 5am, to steal the TV but was unlucky as he was seen while attempting to escape by a resident who raised an alarm and he was was caught.

The angry mob which quickly gathered, descended on him and beat him mercilessly before he was rescued by a police team from the nearby Elere Division. As the policemen were leading him away, he allegedly vowed to go after those who beat him whenever he was released by the police, a statement that allegedly incensed the crowd.

They reportedly snatched the suspect from the police, tied him with a rope and dragged him to the junction where he was set ablaze. An eyewitness who identified himself as Diran Oderinde, narrated how the whole incident played out: “I was woken up around 6.30am by the commotion caused by his arrest. One Mopol was a known robber in this community and he robbed with confidence. He stole the plasma television at Sura Odumakin in the Papa area but was caught by a resident when he was about to escape.

He robbed alone with a cutlass. Last Saturday night, he robbed a woman selling food on Abiba Street and raped her. When One Mopol was caught this morning (Saturday), the woman came to the scene and discovered that he was the one who actually attacked her.” Another resident in the area, Tolu Ibrahim, said One Mopol’s death was a relief to residents, adding that hardly a week went by that he would not rob someone in the community.

Why there is husband scarcity

This may not be the best time for me to write on this because of misinterpretations, Buh still gonna write "Husband Scarcity" has become one of the challenges faced by many young girls today. If you go to prayer houses, majority of the intentions are prayer for a life partner. And this calls for concern. Casting our minds back to the time of our mothers and grandmothers, was there really much of a "Husband Scarcity" problem? Or, maybe there were more men than women then, or there was an adequate corresponding numbers of both genders. I don't think so. Maybe then, the women had values and were prepared to build a home and not park into a built home. Then, once a young man comes of age and can at least feed himself and his wife, he goes out in search of a wife and the woman really appreciates him and helps him to build a future. What am I really trying to say? We created what we now see as "Husband Scarcity" for ourselves. Today, the reverse is the case. Ask an average girl to define her dream husband; you get things like "he has to be tall, handsome, fair, and rich, own a house at least, and be presentable" and then she adds "God fearing" in order not to sound so worldly. Then, check the number of girls around you and the number of men that meet that standard, and you will see the problem. You hear girls say, "I cannot suffer in my father's house and then go and start suffering with a man." What a wonderful dream! What if from the beginning, you have everything you want and there is no suffering, and later in the marriage, the table turns around, then comes suffering? Will you run away? No one prays for suffering, but it is good to start small and end big, than start big and end small. The problem is that the description majority of girls give of their ideal man is virtually the same. When 50 girls want the same kind of man and the man that fits what they want is just 1 man, and the man can only pick one. Then, what becomes of 49 others? They simply start lamenting of "Husband Scarcity". Another irony of our time is that it is hard, due to the face of our economy to find a man who is of marriage age who possesses all those things these ladies want, legally (except those involved in Internet fraud); even the number of those in Internet fraud is not enough to match all those searching for already made husbands. If you look around, majority of the ladies of substance, of good value and virtue, who are ready to build a home with a man who has prospects, are married and not complaining of husband scarcity. The easiest way to find a husband now, is to change your view of who a husband is. A husband is that man God made and then saw that it may be hard for him to really actualize his purpose for making him, without a help mate and then made the woman and gave to him, and he felt complete and fulfilled MARRIAGE IS NOT A POVERTY ALLEVIATION PROGRAM. It is a mission of building the family of God here on earth. For those who see marriage as a way out of poverty, it is a way into bondage. Women are HOME BUILDERS, not HOME WARMERS... DON'T CONFUSE A MAN'S PATH WITH HIS DESTINY. Where he is today, may only be a route to where God has destined him to be tomorrow. Another truth is that YOU MAY BE THE ONLY FAST MEANS TO THAT HIS DESTINATION. Join in alleviating "husband scarcity". PICK UP THE RIGHT VALUES. I am not saying that you should pick anyone that comes your way and talks of marriage, not all men are husband materials. What I am saying is that you should stop setting your standard on material acquisitions or physical appearances. Look beyond the physical. WHAT MAKES A MAN WHO HE IS, IS NOT WHAT HE OWNS OR HOW HE LOOKS, IT IS WHAT HE IS MADE UP OF. And that which he is made of is, most times, not seen with the physical eyes, only its effects can be seen. Marriage is a permanent thing. Whatever is seen is temporal and that which is not seen is permanent

The Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) may have taken their protests to the next level following recent
revelations my members of the group.
Dawntodusk reprots that ahead of Nnamdi Kanu’s trial coming up on Friday over charges of treasonable felony, the group is planning to establish more embassies in several other countries.
Kanu’s case attracts a maximum life sentence, and he has been in detention since October 2015 following threats made by his media outlet Radio Biafra.

 
Their agitation majorly, is the call for the independence for Biafra, a region in southeast Nigeria that existed as an independent republic between 1967 and 1970.
In a message by a representative of Kanu’s family to Newsweek, embattled Biafra leader Kanu says IPOB will establish more embassies in 2016.
Vitoria-Gasteiz, the capital of the Basque country in northern Spain, presently houses IPOB’s embassy which was established in February 2015 while the group’s head of directorate of state, Uchenna Asiegbu, heads the Biafran embassy in Spain.

He told Newsweek that Sweden, Russia, Canada, the US and Australia are some of the countries on the shortlist as potential destinations for the next embassies.
“We are looking to two or three countries but we have not made up our minds. In some months to come, we will be making that decision,” Asiegbu informed.

In the bid to succeed outgoing Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor whose tenure will come to an end in July 2016, as the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), a group has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of planning to replace him with a northerner in the coming election.
The Christ’s Redeemers’ Union made this allegation by claiming that, the Presidency was interested in CAN election for some selfish reasons.

Maintaining that, the ruling All Progressives Congress is interested in sponsoring a pro-Buhari clergy from the North so as to avoid any radical opposition to his administration from the Christian community.
Dr Abednego Olusola, the National Director of the group released a statement on Sunday, February 21, threatening that, Christians would resist any plan by the Presidency to install a puppet as CAN President.
“ A top official in the Presidency, who is spearheading the campaign, has started deploying resources for logistics towards ensuring the emergence of a church leader in the northern part of the country believed to be friendly with Buhari.
“The government officials funding some religious leaders in the North have been recruited as foot soldiers to perfect the strategy. There is tension now in CAN and the action of the Presidency has polarised the association along North-South dichotomy, as northern religious members are being lobbied to support the plot,” Olusola stated.

MTN TO PAY A PORTION OF THE FINE BEFORE TALKS CAN RESUME:- nigerian govt

The Nigerian government wants MTN to pay a portion of the fine before talks can resume.

The government of Nigeria has called on MTN to make a down payment as a “show of good faith” before the mobile operator’s proposal for an out of court settlement will be considered, this according to a report in Nigeria Communications Week .
Mr. Adebayo Shittu, Minister of Communication, said in Lagos that the federal government will not reenter negotiations with MTN until a substantial portion of the N780 billion fine is paid as an act of good faith.
Shittu said: “When MTN came, we understood their pleas. However, we added that if you cannot meet up with the fine, you have to add your account details to show that upon paying, your company will collapse. They are yet to respond on that. The next thing was for me to get a call that they are going to court. And now, they are coming back for out of court settlement. We don’t want MTN to die; rather, we want them to obey the law.”
The minister averred that MTN initially acknowledged the registration default and pleaded for leniency. Subsequently, President Buhari reduced the fine from N1.04 trillion to N780 billion.
A lagos court has given MTN until March 18, 2016 to settle the matter out of court .

Are you willing to talk to Boko Haram about the missing Chibok schoolgirls?

"As long as we can establish the bona fides of the leadership of Boko Haram, we are prepared as a government to discuss with them how to get the girls back. But we have not established any evidence of a credible leadership."

Is Abubakr Shekau still the leader of Boko Haram?

"I receive conflicting information about the status of Shekau. Some say he has been removed and replaced by a less charismatic terrorist leader.

"I think he must be on the run, because out of the 14 local government districts that Boko Haram used to call their caliphate, they now do not control any now. They are scattered around the Sambisa forest and they have resorted to attacking soft targets, people in churches, mosques and market places, and using improvised explosive devices."

Are you seeking any further help from the West in the fight against Boko Haram?

"I was invited by the G7 during my visit to Europe to brief them on the issue of security Boko Haram, and I did so. I subsequently sent Nigeria's 'shopping list' in terms of the infrastructure destroyed. That is schools, medical facilities and other institutions, bridges blown up, and the estimates of repair."

Did you also ask for Western military help?

"Yes, I did, but I don't want to give any details of that in public at present. As you know, we already have foreign military help in terms of training missions."

And are you asking for additional military help beyond training missions?

"I am not asking for any of that yet. I want to be briefed first on the situation from the Nigerian military and also the police."

The previous government used mercenaries from South Africa in the fight against Boko Haram, with some success. Would you consider doing the same?

"I personally was very disappointed that the previous government resorted to mercenaries. I was also disappointed by the recent revelations of how military allocations were also misappropriated. How is it that Nigeria's military, which has a good record across west Africa, cannot claim back to 14 out of 774 local governorates from Boko Haram? They have to ask for mercenaries from South Africa? How the mighty has fallen!"

What is your feeling on the wider terror threats across west and north Africa at the moment, with terrorism attacks taking place in Mali and Burkina Faso?

"I think we should be very worried because with technology, Boko Haram and other terrorists have become very mobile in all continents, not only in Africa but also in Europe, America and Asia.

"For Africa and the Sahel, the demise of Gaddafi's regime led to a lot of armed and trained people, especially those from the Sahel, being dispersed. Fighting is the only thing they know, and they are available at a fee. The danger is there, and I am pleased that Europe has realised it too."

There have been reports that Nigerians have been fighting for Isil in the Libyan city of Sirte. Is that true?

"I haven't seen confirmed reports about that, but I know that it is not only in Sirte - there are also Nigerians finding their way to Syria too. I don't know which side, but they may be fighing for Isil. How many, I have no idea."

Have you ever had reports of people from the Nigerian diaspora in the UK being involved in Boko Haram in any way?

"No, but if I do, I will immediately raise the issue."

A number of Nigerians use the migrant routes to come to the UK to claim asylum, saying their lives are at risk from Boko Haram. Is is legitimate for them to do so?

"Some Nigerians claim is that life is too difficult back home, but then again some Nigerians have also made it difficult for Europeans and Americans to accept them because of the number of Nigerians in different prisons all over the world accused of drug trafficking or human trafficking. I don't think Nigerians have anybody to blame. They can remain at home. Their services are required to rebuild the country. If their countrymen misbehaved, the best thing for them is to stay at home and encourage the credibility of the nation."

Do you think that Nigerians have an image problem abroad?

"Certainly. But we are on our way to salvage that. We will encourage our countrymen to stay at home, work hard and make a respectable living at home."

Your government has launched a major corruption probe over claims that billions of dollars of oil cash went missing during the previous administration. Some suspects have been arrested in the UK. Are you satisfied with the co-operation you are getting from the UK authorities?

"One of the biggest suspects is in Britain now, although I am not going to name that person. But Britain has earned our respect in the way it deals with these matters. Our only problem is that it seems to be too thorough and it takes too much time. If there are obvious cases, like bank accounts, infrastructure houses and hotels, I would hope they could do it quicker, so that we can claim these things back promptly

A paramilitary officer attached to the Lagos State Environmental and Special Offences (Task Force) MR. Uzan Rildwan was stabbed on his head and had 2 of his fingers cut off by commercial drivers and market touts under Oshodi bridge this morning.
The fracas was as a result of men of the Task Force arresting commercial buses obstructing traffic and causing traffic gridlocks at Oshodi under bridge this morning.
Commercial bus drivers and market touts under the Oshodi bridge came out and attacked both Police and Paramilitary officers with broken bottles, cutlasses, wood and other dangerous weapons in order to secure the release of the arrested 6 commercial buses.
Mr. Uzan Rildwan who was injured during the fracas was immediately rushed to nearby hospital for treatment before he was transferred to General Hospital Ikeja for further diagnoses on his head.
Meanwhile, with the introduction of Mobile Court , it is expected that motorists would comport themselves and complied with the Lagos State Traffic Laws of 2012.
The mobile court which will be moving from different locations across the state with Magistrates, Lawyers, Black Maria, Cashier, Police and Towing vehicles is set to deal with growing cases of traffic and environmental abuses in the state.
Offences by commercial motorcycles riding against traffic, refusal to obey traffic signs, commercial bus drivers (Danfo) who operate on motion with their doors open among others will be tried by the mobile court.
It is expected that bus conductors should always make sure that doors of their commercial bus is closed whenever their vehicle is on motion and most only stopped at designated bus-stop during when dropping and picking passengers, motorcycle riders should not ride against traffic or ride their motorcycles on restricted routes across the state.
The step taken by the government would bring sanity to the system and does not exclude private vehicle owners who constantly disobeyed traffic Laws.
However, during a week operation by the Lagos State Task Force across the state , 24 commercial and private vehicles who contravened traffic laws were  arrested and made to pay fines, 43 were screened out of the 390 miscreants arrested while remaining 347 were charged to courts and 297 motorcycles were impounded by Task Force.

BUHARI HAS SAID THAT HIS GOVT HAS SAVED ENOUGH MONEY SINCE HE INTRODUCED - TSA

Nigeria’s president, Muhammadu Buhari has revealed his administration had been able to plug leakages and save N2. 2 trillion through the Treasury Single Account (TSA).

Buhari revealed the reason when he spoke on the state of the economy during an interactive session with the Nigerian community in the United Kingdom on the sidelines of the supporting Syria conference in London

The president said although the TSA was the initiative of the Goodluck Jonathan administration, the immediate past government did not make use of it.

“When we discovered that we were already in trouble, we tried to enforce the TSA. This government did not initiate it, it was the previous government, but it was so unpopular to the previous government,” he said.

“For its own reasons, it couldn’t impose it, but when we came and we found out that we were broke, we saw that this as the way to do it.

“We discovered that the NNPC had more than 45 accounts, the ministry of defence and the military had more than 70 accounts; tell me which of the accounts to trace every year. “So we enforced TSA, we said there must be TSA, and let me tell you by the end of December coming to January this year, last month we mopped up more than N2.2 trillion.”

He also revealed why his government stopped the sale of foreign exchange to bureau de change (BDC) operators.

He said the sale was stopped due to fraudulent acts perpetrated by some directors of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

“We found out that some directors of CBN owned bureau de change and when foreign exchange comes, they take it to their bureau de change and give government the change,” he said.

“We had to stop the federal government giving bureau the change. I am explaining this to give a tip of the ice berg of the problem we inherited. We are getting so hard because we have no other [option] than to make everybody accountable.”

Meanwhile, the federal government’s anti-corruption war has been extended to 81 government agencies, News Agency of Nigeria is reporting.

The agencies, which are revenue generating will undergo forensic audit following the approval of the National Economic Council (NEC) yesterday, Thursday, January 28 in Abuja.

 

HOW TO TAKE CARE OF UR VAGINA EVERYDAY TO AVOID SMELL, INFECTION OR ABNORAL DISCHARGE

It is important to know the dos and don’ts when it comes to vaginal care in order to prevent infection, odour and irritation.

1. WASH UR VAGINA AT LEAST TWICE DAILY:
If you work out, sweat excessively, or are
involved in some other sweat-inducing activity, then wash after each activity.

Make sure you change your undergarments at least daily and
wash them in hot water to kill any stubborn bacteria. This will help to get rid of sweat and bacteria dat may have been trapped, leaving you feeling and smelling better.

2. DO NOT DOUCHE:
Don’t use antiseptic soaps or body scrubs to wash your vagina. These products make the vagina unfavourable for good bacteria and impact on vagina health causing candida super-infection (the one popularly called “toilet infection”).

3. ALWAYS EAT PLAIN:,
Unflavoured yogurt regularly or take probiotics. These have live active bacteria that contribute to the healthy ecological balance of the vagina.

4. ALWAYS KEEP YOUR VAGINA DRY:
Except you are having sexual intercourse.
Keeping moisture and sweat down there is a recipe for bad odour and poor vagina health.

You can know your ovulation day; your safe period (when to have sex and not conceive), and also your fertile period every month with your phone

5. ALWAYS CHANGE YOUR TAMPONS OR PADS REGULARLY IF YOU USE THEM DURING YOUR PERIODS:

The longer they stay, the faster the bacteria on them will breed, causing potential infections.

You shall also avoid pads or tampons with
deodorants, sprays or other chemicals.

CAUTION TO ALL BH FEMALE GENDER: From a medical perspective, it is quite annoying and shocking to see the sentiments expressed by some women over their vagina’s. It explains why
Zambia has one of the highest rate of cervical cancer in the world. Even a grade 10 child can tell some of these things.
Please if you have ears, LISTEN:

i. DO NOT DOUCH: that means do not clean your vagina by inserting your fingers or soap or anything else. THE VAGINA IS SELF CLEANING, IT DOES NOT NEED YOUR HELP, LEAVE IT ALONE. Douching can change the acidity and bacterial makeup of the vagina, causing infections, which may spread to the uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries.

It has been associated with bacterial vaginosis, yeast infections, pelvic inflammatory disease, and adverse events in pregnancy.

Ladies, there’s no need to douche or apply products internally. You can keep your vagina healthy by simply washing of the vulva (outside) with water during your
daily shower or bath. Even if you had sex, or just finished your pees, there is NO need to wash inside, you are damaging yourself.

ii. DO NOT USE MADURA STICK OR TUMABWE OR HERBS TO TIGHTEN YOUR VAGINA: Your vagina is a muscle, no amount of sticks or stones or herbs will tighten it. The best you can do to a muscle to work it, please try kegel exercise. You can do this exercise anywhere at any time.

Do you know why you think your
vagina is tighter after using the sticks or herbs etc? It is because they suck out the moisture from inside u and make your vagina to swell, therefore becoming smaller and you think you are tight. You are not, you are simply swollen and having sex while swollen will increase your
chances of bruising, infection and other health consequences.

STOP INSERTING THINGS IN YOUR VAGINA, LEAVE IT ALONE.

Also stop putting vinegar or ice cubes in your vagina.

iii. STOP ABUSING FLAGYL TO MAKE YOUR BODY BECOME WARM; Flagyl is an antibiotic, which should only be used when prescribed by a doctor. Abusing it will only make you resistant to it and by the time you are really sick and need it, it will be useless. You are making yourself
vulnerable to infections. STOP IT.

iv. NO MAN IS WORTH DYING FOR JUST TO PLEASE HIM: Please if you have time take a walk to the cancer ward at UTH, after that visit trust me you will not come here asking for Madura sticks or what to put in your vagina.

No man is worth putting your life at risk for.

The immediate past National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (rtd), has spoken of how the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan facilitated the acquisition ofhitherto elusive weaponry in thelast one year and recovered many local governments that had been occupied by Boko Haram terrorists.

dasuki2Sambo, who has been a subject of media focus since his homes in Abuja and Sokoto were invaded by operatives of the Department of State Security Services (DSS) the sameweek he left office on the eve of Eid -Fitri 2015, named some of the deciding acquisitions to include Alpha jets, APCs, MRAP vehicles, advanced artillery pieces, assorted arms and ammunitions, highly sophisticated surveillance drones, T72 and carried out modification of F7 supersonic jet fighters.asuki4Dasuki told PRNigeria that “The armored tanks have comprehensive NBC protection system, just as we deployed Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicles thatwe bought and could withstand improvised explosive device (IED) attacks and ambushes. The vehicles had protected our troops from the land mine threats.

dasuki3“We are glad that we also provided assorted Armoured Personnel Carriers to transport troops to the battlefield. They are armed for self-defence and to provide protection from attacks from shrapnel and small arms fire.

“All these were acquired in the last one year after years of frustration by Western powers who denied us of the equipment and sabotage our efforts to acquire same from other sources which are reasons for some delay in delivery.”

dasuki5According to him, some other arms already paid for by the previous administration are due to be delivered soon. “It was unfortunate that some elements are frustrating the efforts as we even had to query some suppliers for delay in delivery of arms and ammunitions,” he added.

dasuki6The former NSA disclosed “we utilised some of these equipment to recover more than 22 local governments under Boko Haram terrorists and ensured that Shekau did not disrupt the 2015 election as he had threatened. Not only did we ensure that the elections were peaceful, Shekau has never spoken to threaten anyone again since then.”

Responding to critics of past administration on security issues, he said: “In attempt to rubbish individuals for whatever reasons, political or otherwise, we should be careful not to rubbish sensitive institutions and their personnel that might still be in active service.

dasuki7“It is unfortunate that some elements hide under the cover of anonymity in the media to rubbish some of the sacrifices we made. They should the take the courage to come out publicly by identifying themselves with their baseless allegations. ”
